The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing is preparing for a three-year cultural project to promote communication and create bridges between Czech and Chinese cultures.
The program, named Embassyart, will bring together artists, musicians, photogra-phers and dancers from both countries in the coming three years, according to Libor Secka, ambassador of the Czech Republic in China.
The program's launch ceremony is set for Friday evening at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing and will include a concert by Czech soprano Marketa Matlova and an art exhibition of modern Chinese painter Wei Qingji.
Activities will be held both in and outside the embassy in the future to boost cultural ties between the two countries, the ambassador said.
