With the 200th anniversary of the birth of Fryderyk Chopin approaching, the cultural section of Poland's embassy in Beijing has recently announced a series of celebratory events.
"On this occasion, we put great emphasis on preparing many events promoting his works, including music concerts performed by Polish and Chinese pianists, exhibitions, documentaries and feature movies," explained Maciej Gaca from the embassy.

This month the Poet of the Reportage exhibition is being held at the Minorities University and Beijing Foreign Studies University in Beijing, to commemorate the work of outstanding Polish journalist Ryszard Kapuscinski.
