 Introduction of USTB

University of Science and Technology Beijing was founded in 1952 and has developed into one of the most influential key national universities in China. Its main focus is on engineering, while maintaining a balanced program consisting of science, management, humanities, economics and law.

USTB is part of the 211 Project, which is designed to develop a hundred first rate universities in the 21st century. In 2006, USTB was selected as the “Platform for National Advanced Disciplines Innovation” program. In 2014, the “Collaborative Innovation Center of Steel Technology”, led by USTB and Northeastern University, was chosen to be part of the national “2011 Plan”. In 2017, USTB was selected as one of universities and colleges for the “Double-First Class” initiative, which aims to ultimately build a number of world-class universities and disciplines.

University of Science and Technology Beijing engages in a number of international cooperative partnerships and initiatives to provide its students and scholars opportunities to expand their horizons. As the first Chinese university to establish a formal partnership with a foreign university in 1979, USTB continues to innovate in expanding its global network and opening new programs to better serve its community.

Safety Science and Engineering, Environmental Science and Engineering, Control Science and Engineering, Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Civil Engineering, Chemistry, Foreign Language and Literature, Management Science and Engineering, Business Administration, Marxism Theory,and other disciplines have strong strength.

Basic and interdisciplinary disciplines such as Mechanics, Physics, Mathematics, Information and Communications Engineering, Instrument Science and Technology, Nanomaterials and Device Physics, Optoelectronic Information Materials and Devices are full of vitality. Safety Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence Science and Engineering have been selected into the construction of high-precision disciplines in Beijing universities.

Doctorate  All the doctoral programs can be taught in English

Specific Bachelor Program

International Economics and Trade (1+3). Applicant can apply without Chinese foundation, learn Chinese in 1st year and study specialized courses in next 3 years. After completing the graduation requirements, students can obtain the bachelor degree in the major of international economics and trade.

2. Review of application materials; Applicants for bachelor programs need to attend the entrance exam.

3. Notify the admission results.

4. Issue admission notice and JW form.
