1. International Trade and Economy Bachelor Degree Program （English-taught）

International Trade and Economy (For International Students) is an excellent platform for international students who are interested in international economy and trade, relying on the discipline advantages of International Education Center as well as School of Economics and Trade, integrating excellent educational resources of the whole university, aiming at cultivating international talents.

International Trade and Economy (For International Students) is a four-year undergraduate program. Students learn comprehensive Chinese and fundamental courses in the first two years and specialized courses in the last two years. It features both Chinese learning and undergraduate study. Comprehensive Chinese courses, including basic and business Chinese, will improve the students' language proficiency and competence. These courses focuses on the development of international students’ language skills, which aims to enable students reach HSK level 4 through two years’ study, and lay a solid language foundation as living and studying inChina. In the last two years, students will study economics and trade with bilingual teaching, which improve students' professional knowledge and English proficiency. The program aims to train students to be excellent international graduates with first-class language ability, excellent professional knowledge and outstanding comprehensive quality.

2. Main Courses

In the first two year, the main courses include: Comprehensive Business Chinese, Business Chinese Reading, Business Chinese Listening and Speaking, Social Practice, Introduction to Chinese Culture, etc. In addition, we will also offer optional courses, such as Introduction to Cantonese, BCT (Business Chinese Test) Training, College English course, Tai Ji Boxing, etc.

In the third and fourth year, the main courses include: International Finance, International Marketing, International Trade Practice, Econometrics and other specialized courses. Optional courses include International Economy and Cooperation, Cross-border E-commerce, International Financial Market, international Commercial Law, Customs Clearance Practice etc.

3. Fees

(1) Application Fee: RMB500(NOT REFUNDABLE)

(2) Tuition: RMB22000 per year

(3) Accommodation:

Single Room: RMB1000 per month. Equipped with water-heater,toilet, air conditioner, public washing machine, wardrobe, bed, Internet etc.

Double Room: RMB1200-1500 per month. Equipped with water-heater, toilet, air conditioner, public washing machine, wardrobe, bed, Internet etc.

(4) Teaching Materials: According to the book price.

(5) Residence Visa Fee: Will be charged according to specific standard.

(6) Cafeteria: Campus cafeteria serves a variety of Chinese food everyday.

(7) Comprehensive Insurance: RMB800 per year.

4. Qualification

(1) High School diploma or the equivalent educational background of a high school diploma;

(2) English Ability: TOEFL 60 or above, IELTS 5.5 or above, or pass the Entrance English Proficiency Test organized by International Education Center.

5. Scholarships

(1) Guangdong Government Outstanding International Students Scholarship: RMB10000 per year.

(2) GDUT Undergraduate Scholarship: RMB10000 per year
